Event kick starts Sheldon's ride
The first step in a very long journey for Byron Bay football player, Sheldon Thomson, was taken in this years pre-season when the Byron Bay FC Rideforsmiles’ six-a- side tournament was held at the Byron Bay Recreation Ground.
The event kick started Sheldon’s driving ambition to ride a motorcycle through 10 African nations and into Europe later this year to raise awareness and donations for several worthy causes.
2010 Team Management
The Rams Premier Division squad Head Coach for 2010 will be Peter Ware. Renowned trainer and sports doctor - Dr Richard Harvey MD, will again assist the coaches in a variety of ways during games and at training. The Rams Technical Director and statistician Greg Kelly will be a great asset to the coaches in recording and providing technical feedback and information on players and patterns during games and at training. The Premier Squad Manager will be Graham Packham. Local Physiotherapist Anthony D'Orsogna will also be on hand at training to support the players. The club Senior Executive will be Peter Keenan.

Byron Bay has been attracting tourists from all over the world for many years and as we know many stay and settle. This season the Byron Bay Rams Premier League football squad has attracted gifted players from all over the planet to play what is called the world game. It's still called Soccer by many here in Australia and the US however the rest of the world is passionate about "their" game called Football.

Thistles no match for Rampaging Rams
It was another top of the table clash at Byron Bay over the weekend with both the Rams and Lismore Thistles looking to cement their spot in the top 3 on the Premier League table. Conditions were perfect and a large crowd turned up to enjoy the sun and watch the action.
